Aubrey S. Griffin earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas William S. Boyd School of Law and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where she attended on a full scholarship and served as an editor of the Northwestern Journal: The Tax Lawyer. During law school, she represented taxpayers through the Thomas & Mack Legal Clinic’s Rosenblum Low Income Taxpayer Clinic and served as a judicial intern to Administrative Law Judge Dena Smith at the Nevada Department of Taxation.
Before joining Parnell, Michels & McKay, PLLC, Aubrey worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions Tax practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), advising on complex domestic and international tax matters arising from corporate acquisitions, restructurings, and reorganizations. She later served as in-house counsel for InContext Advisors, a multi-family office advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families with investable assets generally ranging from $30 million to over $100 million. Her work focused on sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, business succession planning, asset protection, and wealth preservation strategies.
Aubrey is admitted to practice law in New Hampshire, Illinois, and Massachusetts. She is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Massachusetts Bar Association.
At Parnell, Michels & McKay, PLLC, Aubrey’s practice includes family law, estate planning, and tax matters. Her career has provided her with experience across virtually every level of the tax and financial system—from representing low-income taxpayers and working in state tax administration to advising multinational businesses and ultra-high-net-worth families. That breadth of experience enables her to quickly understand complex financial issues, whether tracing assets in a divorce, analyzing business financial records and tax returns, or designing estate plans intended to preserve and protect family wealth. Aubrey is committed to providing practical, thoughtful, and personalized legal representation tailored to each and every client’s goal. During her free time, Aubrey enjoys spending time with her husband and their two Sphynx cats, Amadeus and Rococo. Despite being allergic to cats, she chose to invest in the baldest model available.
