
Cathy McKay graduated from the University of New Hampshire – Durham in 1987 and New England School of Law in 1991. While attending law school full time at night, she worked full time days as a paralegal for the Law Offices of William B. Parnell, then located in Londonderry. She was admitted to the practice of law in New Hampshire in 1991 and Maine in 1992.
After graduating from law school where she served as an editor of the New England Law Review, she worked as a Law Clerk for the New Hampshire Superior Court and traveled throughout New Hampshire’s Superior Courts. She is currently a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court in New Hampshire.
She has consistently practiced law in the Derry and Londonderry area, practicing with Bill Parnell since 1992. She concentrates her practice in family law, including Collaborative Practice and Mediation. Cathy is a member of the Board of Collaborative Divorce New Hampshire. She is also a member of the Family Law section of the New Hampshire Bar Association. In addition to practicing law, she is active in her community, particularly with the Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce, and currently is the chair of the Board.
Cathy’s extensive knowledge and experience in Collaborative Divorce and Mediation gives her clients the freedom to choose to resolve their conflicts without the necessity of Court. Cathy has also spent a significant amount of time in the New Hampshire Family Courts, and her experience helps clients find a fair resolution to their issues.
She is a recipient of the John Cameron award recognizing her commitment to alternative dispute resolution and Collaborative Divorce.
Cathy is the Chair and Board Member of the Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce.
